Our Region
Euroa is the central hub of the Strathbogie Shire, North-East Victoria. We share this region with some beautiful country townships - Violet Town, Strathbogie, Ruffy, Longwood and Avenel, all within a 1/2 hours drive, also Nagambie which is a scenic 40 minute drive.
We are surrounded by stunning heritage wineries, with cellar doors, beautiful country side with scenic drives through some of the most picturesque land in the country.

We are the Horse Capital of Victoria. The Strathbogie Shire being a leader in the thoroughbred and racing industry, second only to the Hunter Valley in NSW. Our farming community is the backbone of the region, we are diverse in prime lambs, wool, cattle and cropping.
We are truly spoilt for shopping opportunities in and around town, being full of some amazing local businesses, large and small. You are bound to find some unique gems shopping in our shire.

A short drive from Euroa is the township of Strathbogie. On this scenic drive into the hills you will come across a small main street, with a lovely general store. You can find Polly McQuins Weir and Gooram Falls on your drive plus many 'look out' opportunities over our beautiful region.

Violet Town hosts the iconic Violet Town Market, and has a small main street, lined with historic buildings. On the other side of Euroa, Longwood is another small country town with plenty of charm where you'll find The White Hart, a beautifully restored pub.
Avenel is home to some gorgeous small businesses, including lovely places to dine and special retail stores.
Taking your scenic drive a bit further on, you will come across Nagambie, a lovely town surrounded by wineries, waterways and a main street, home to boutique stores and the Nagambie Brewery.
